He drives me crazy!by udjbComment: I like the expression here and the concept, however the skin tone is almost blown out while the dress is lost to shadows. There is no middle ground here and leaves the image very unbalanced. The pink color cast goes well with the glasses, but the image loses much in the dark vs light in the lower half.

Demestic Disputeby emily212Comment: Fits challenge, however, lots of noise caused by flat lighting or underexposure. The motion blur leaves almost nothing in focus, leading to an image that appears happenstance.

Simply... Meby sailjoComment: Nice portrait pose, good choice of crop. The background is too close to you and there seems to be a fuzziness that does not come off as glow or soft focus, but rather a slow shutter speed. The light is flat. You should try to get a fill flash involved in this or a bright natrual light from a window, crossing from one side to the other as opposed to straight on.
Appears on this monitor that the shadows in your sweater/blouse are so deep that there is no definition in the clothing, leaving it simply a dark area that is competing with the lightness of the background.

Age 40 on the 16thby SheryllComment: Simple face shot, low/flat lighting, lots of noise in the background.
Looks like this could have been quite a 'coy' image, but fails due to the quality of light and the distracting background (walls/door opening of the room).
Try reshooting with a soft light off to one side, darkness/shadows off to the opposite and from an above angle where more bedding (or skin if you wish) is viewable and the room is not taking away from the allure of the image.

Sometimes when you look into the abyss, it looks back at youby meyersComment: Meets challenge.
Objects in this image are closer to the background than expected. This causes harsh shadows from the lighiting. Suggestion: Move a good distance from the background, frame up the image and use a diffuser (throw a sheet over the light, bounce the flash off the ceiling) to reduce the darkness of the shadows and use a very low depth of field to blur whatever shadow is left over.
Lots of white space here that does not add to the image, in fact, it directly vies for my attention.

Self-Confessed Tunnel Visionby bfbagginsComment: Unique concept, meets the challenge, unfortunately not interesting enough to make me come and visit it again, no play of light/shadow, simply a face shot.

Insomniaby zanfarComment: Sorry, way too dark. The computer and half lit face motif is quite overrated and tends to be very uninteresting if not pulled off with a very unique concept. This unfortunately looks like an image that was produced, just to be able to put something in the challenge.

Back From Workby jdannelsComment: Snapshot quality, does nto look like much thought was put behind this, although it meets the challenge effectively, it lacks interest enough for me to come back to it or think it would be placed in an album or on a wall.
Seems to be some issue with exposure. There is no definition in the blacks that you are wearing. More light, provided from a fill flash would easily balance this off. Consider a tighter crop, less distractions from the cars in the background. Perhaps a scene of putting the tools away, rather than just walking up the street.
