Different from most of the shots and that is always a plus and I like this image, reminds me of Icelandic landscape. Anyway, not really fond of the composition, too centered and cramped for my personal taste but the colour and contrast in this image are superb, would have liked to see this shot wider but that´s just my humble opion. Gave it an 8.

Nice sky with good colours and very pleasing to the eye but needs something extra to make it go "pow!". Still one of the better shots in the challenge, gave it a 7.

Personally, I have seen so many of these shots that they have to be spectacular to work for me and while this is pleasing to the eye, it´s hardly spectacular and I also find it a stretch to fit the challenge as it doesn´t affect me at all although I scored like you fit the challenge. Anyway, not bad at all, good composition and you used a correct exposure time for the flow of the water but it seems a little bit underexposed so maybe 1 stop higher iso or 1 stop bigger aperture would have fixed that (this could just be the fault of the screen I use here at work though).

I find this photo a little bit disturbing if I may be honest, it´s very powerful and I don´t really "like" it in the normal sense but I gave it a very high score due to the fact that it affects me. Wouldn´t be surprised to see this end up close to the top or even on top. I especially like the lighting and the composition.

LOL! Love his expression, really makes this photo work and great lighting too. Hope your model doesn´t take this the wrong way but that psychotic expression makes me wish he doesn´t have to treat me someday, I mean this as a compliment as it´s great acting on his behalf.

(on a nitpicking side note, did you misspell the title, shouldn´t it be "It´s alive"?)

Well two things really about this shot that made me score a 4 and I felt you were entitled to as why I gave it a low score. First off, the focus is more on the stairs behind him than on him, he looks slightly in front of the focus point in the image. Secondly, in my opinion this is off topic, both as the subject isn´t 10-15% of the frame as it was stated and also there is nothing that I percieve as "minimalism" in the shot. Anyway, don´t get me wrong, I like the shot and had it been in focus and in a "street photography" challenge or something like that I would have scored it probably double what I gave it here or an 8 and I don´t give yout many of those.

Not a bad Idea and a different take on a, well almost overdone subject. Like the colours and contrast and tack sharp and the sky is interesting, I assume you used a polarizer and well pretty much techincally well done. There ist just one thing that still bothers me and that is that even though I have seen it hundreds of times I feel as if this photograph has ben cut in half and the left part is what you used here, what I am trying to say is that I can´t help but want to see the rest of the bridge. Anyway, like the shot and it´s one of the better ones in the challenge but doesn´t quite hit the spot so I gave it a 7.

I gave this a 3 and felt you are entitled to an explanation as to why I gave it that score.

I am sorry but I don´t find this particularly interesting although it fits the challenge. The composition is way too centered and sometimes that works, but not here IMHO, to the photographs benefit. That line in the bottom right is out of place and I can´t really connect with it or what it is, is it a power line? Anyway, so far so good, not really a bad photograph at all and it fits the challenge but then there is that green sky. I don´t know what part of the world you are in but I have never ever seen a green sky and I must say that I don´t care for it one bit at all... Ended up giving you a 3 because while this fits the challenge I don´t find it interesting at all and porly composed and then there is that green sky wich really drags down the whole photograph.

On the positive side this does fit the challenge and that is always good and the idea is not bad at all, just needs better composition, a little bit more clarity as the helicopter is slightly blurred (try using a faster shutter next time) and a more interesting or aesthetically pleasing sky and you would be well on your way.

Anyway, not trying to offend you so I hope you only take this as one persons opinion.
