Try To Be Still (Life)by TonyTComment: I think having the caption or text box at the bottom would have worked better in this case, I didn´t notice it at all at first. |

Twilight by elsapoComment: Yikes...!!! That leaves you as the 2006 ribbon hog right, what is it, 10 now? Wake up Gary!!! Justin has overtaken you! (goes away and types in a PM to Gary to get off his lazy butt and go collecting ribbons again, I can´t have a 19 year old beating me, not good for the ego)
In other words, congrats kiddo, hehe :P |

Desperation by StructorComment: Aw give me a break! I was thinking of the same friggin tree for this challenge but didn´t bother with the driving, just didn´t have time... Damn DPC and their week submission time, I would have gotten a yellow ribbon if only I had the time, hehe :)
Just kidding! But seriously, just ask Steinar and Andri, my fellow WPL teammates, I was seriously thinking about driving out to this specific tree, I remember the shot Sigurgeir took of it in the "Lost in Iceland" book, awesome!
Congrats on the ribbon :) |

Original Sin by smykComment: Nice shot, sucks to lose out on a blue ribbon with only some decimal points, I see both you and him scored exactly 7.094 so his must be 7.0941 or something... Anyway, I have a gut feeling you are going to get the blue and sooner rather than later. Congrats! |

Home Is Where the Heart Isby Joey LawrenceComment: Agree with metatate and eschelar, I didn´t give those wires a second glance really and they blend in very nicely with this shot, mostly cause of good composition. WIthouth wanting to mean this personally against anyone I think it´s just very "DPC like" to dislike wires and telephone poles cause it´s the norm, it´s like having a blown highlight or a slanted composition, easily identifiable and easy to comment on and has been branded somewhat undesirable. I like the wires and glad you didn´t edit them out.
Anyway dude, in web resolution a good shot, have a feeling it will look great in 24x36! :) |
