The lighting needs a little work. This almost looks like it is several images that have been just pasted together to make the whole. A little back light, or even some light from one of the sides to get a little shadow would add the bit of depth that the photograph needs.

And strawberries served on that type of dish? Sensuous not wacky :)

I think just a slightly different crop - so that the gourd isn't so centered, would make this a much more powerful photograph. Excellent DOF and wonderful colours.

The scar on that finger makes it look like this sandwich has been served before :)

This is an idea that had to be done. The deep red foreground and the light blue background clash in my head, I would have preferred them to be the same (and using the darker color to hide the shadows somewhat).

There is something I am having trouble putting my finger on - I'd like to see the colors more saturated I think and a little less glare on the lettuce. Great idea for the challenge and nicely framed.

I really like the grain and the B/W - good DOF.

The light is a little harsh leaving the front of the onion (it is an onion right?) lost in the shadow. A little more light in front for definition would have appealed to me.
