Dead Vlei is an old pan which has not had regular water since the river changed its course. Now it just has the skeletons of old acacias here, some of them well over 500 years old.

Paradise Sunsetby orvaratliComment: The colours here are beautiful, and the framing used does draw ones eye into the image. I am one of those people who prefer their horizons to be horizontal, so I would like to see some rotation here and maybe a little less sharpening as those tell tale halos can be distracting.
That all being said this still captures my eye

Lonelyby benhurComment: The simplicity makes the image. I would prefer to see the string not leading right through the corner, A slighly different crop would fix this. |

Study in: Light, Form, Textureby tfaustComment: The return of an old favourite, this capture has a feeling of silk billowing in the wind.
The capture of the wall textures is beautiful.

Extremeby rsaulyteComment: that looks cold enought to freeze the balls of a brass monkey......
great candid capture.. I would like to see a little work on the people to try and tone down the glare, but you captured the essence well. |

The Color of Rememberingby AgaricusComment: Your eye is drawn to the orange flora, but I am not sure about theselective desaturation.
That being said this has impact and I have scored this with that impact in mind |

Nightstalkerby ImagineerComment: This is a grea image, I would prefer to see the figure a little larger, to give more balance to the composition.
