Three Times Not Luckyby magnusComment: The composition in this shot is just great. I also love the pristine snow background. One of my favorites of the challenge. Sorry I have nothing constructive to add but I can't suggest anything that needs improvement. 10 |

H N Yby DufusComment: Absolutely gorgeous photo however as I'm sure you've heard many times already. I don't see how it meets the challenge.
I say the above in jest.
I think you captured the mood of New Years perfectly and I like the out of the box thinking you did on this.
I hope it does well. |

17%by kevrobertsonComment: I didn't get what you were trying to convey with this photo. The title seems to indicate something on the sales paper perhaps? The boy who I am assuming is your subject and not the improvised mouseapad dosen't really have an expression that emphasizes a mood of the moment. At least not to me.
Technical:
The lighting is not the greatest because the important part of the photo (boy's face) is shrouded in shadow.
The focus also seems to be off as the whole picture is blurry.
Crop: The subject's head is cut off as well as part of the laptop.
Composition: There is a lot of clutter in the shot from the book in the top right to the print on the "mouse pad" to the mouse cord.
Overall this came across as a quickly taken snapshot.
I don't want to seem harsh but I felt I should justify the score given. |

In The Toy Zone - Chocolate Time Overby glad2badadComment: To me this photo has a real "snapshotish" feel to it because of what I assume is a flash pointed directly at the subject (cute btw). Also the little white points in the costume or jacket distract from the face of your subject. I don't know if this is from in camera sharpening or post procesing.
As far as the crop goes: I would have tried to cut out the rest of the toy, doll, whatever he is holding in his left hand as it is also a distracting element.
As always this is IMO.
Good luck too you. |

Pretty Earringsby graphicfunkComment: Great candid shot. I would like to have seen this with a slightly tighter crop and possibly in B&W, but that would be my interpretation. I still think its one of the better shots of the challenge.
Nicely done :) |

The Skateboardersby novaComment: Man their faces just scream "Busted". The officers hand on his gun is great. Nicely captured it made me smile. |
