Antiquityby lwkimagesComment: Very nice. I love the DOF and textures of the books. Image grain definitely adds to the image. |

Sentinelsby dahkotaComment: Wow, great shot. Such a calm image, and I love the title. The purple hues work perfectly. The perspective is very nice also. |

Friendsby BradComment: **Critique Club**
Initial Impression: Nice candid!
Detailed analysis: Personally I think this is a very good shot. The choice of using black and white was an excellent one. You've done an excellent job of capturing a very good "slice of life" image. The expressions on the women definitely convey a sense of celebration. The DOF is perfect. I think by not showing the entire circle of friends and focusing mainly on one woman, you've done a great job of reinforcing the feeling. My only nitpick is the one lady in the background. She does distract from the image slightly, but if you had waited for someone to pass in front of her to snap your shot, who knows, you may not have had as powerful an image. I didn't vote on this one, but if I did, I would have seen her as a distraction, but an unavoidable one.
Overall Impression:Brad, you do great work and I'm really not qualified to critique it. I hope you find this little bit of insight (from an untrained eye) helpful. GREAT SHOT!!! |

Camouflageby gaurawaComment: Spectacular image. I love the greens and blacks in the fern and shadows and how wonderfully they match that of the butterfly. The border might be a little bit too big, but that's my personal preference (I'm not a big fan of borders for the most part). You really should make this available as a print. It would go perfectly on a red wall! |

Ridge Raysby GeneralEComment: Well seen! I love the way the rays seem to pierce the haze. Nice use of negative space. The tilted horizon helps add to the surreal feeling of the image. I particularly like the way the shadow of the trees can be seen in the rays of the sun. The blue seems a bit offish and could possibly use a slight hue adjustment. |
