misunderstoodby njsabsComment: I'm going to start off my saying I love this shot, but I'm going to ask a question too. I know how hard it is to make one of these "laying on the ground" shots work, so I'm impressed to start with. The DOF is perfect and adds a lot to the shot. The lighting is wonder as well with great depth a great tonality across his face. So now I'm going to ask about the lightness of the jeans on his visible leg. The jeans are brighter than his face and draw the eye up a bit in the frame. There is nothing wrong with this, but I'm just curious if you were concerned about it or had decided it was an important element of the composition? |

Max 1by PaulComment: Excellent portrait. I love the depth of field and how it bring focus to his eye and eye lashes. The lighting provides wonderful tonality and depth. I like the hat... adds a lot of character and keeps this from being just another portrait. |

could not ask for moreby photokariangelComment: Great portrait! Your subject is well lit and pops from the background yet the image looks very natural. The best work looks almost effortless and this is a great example. |

I Love NYby stupidcatComment: Nice shot. If I was going to be picky, I would say that the brightness of her right forearm draws some attention away from her face. Her arm was probably closer to your main light, which can be a challenge any time a subject lifts a hand or arm to face level. |

Speak No Wordsby denboteComment: Very nice! I like how you were able to keep the environment in the image but really keep the focus on your subjects. I've tried similar shoot, but it's very hard to avoid spill and keep the ambient light level down. |

Family portraitby edmengComment: Great work on this family portrait. I know how hard it can be to light four people and have them all look good. |

II0by JamesAComment: Nice self portrait!
Don't worry about the score so much, it's more important to communicate what you believe than to try and and score well. |

Hypnotiqby LVicariComment: I love the gritty texture to this. I have it was real and not painted on in post? |
