I think you could improve this shot with 2 easy things. The background is ok but with a differant angle you could get the walkway out.(on second thought you might be to much in the shadows if you move to far left). A polorizer could cut the glare that is giveing you hot spots on the yellow flowers. Still a nice shot. I'm betting this does pretty well.

This might be better with deeper DOF. It draws your eye in quickly but if it were all sharp there is nothing that would distract anyway. Interesting spider.
