Silent Forestby akhaterComment: I like this shot. The photographer has done well to get as much in to the shot without making it too distant. The light and the shadows are very pleasing. But somehow not quite dramatic enough. The shot also seems to lack somewhere for the eye to go to. If the path was leading you into the shot it would have been better. |

abandoned latteby byoungComment: I always like the shot that tries to be different from the obvious and this is one of those. Unfortunately, because of the low light and long exsposure required, it isn't sharp enough. There doesn't seem to be any of part which is pin sharp, the cup is just off I think? I still like the shot but it would have got a higher mark but for that. |

Sunlight thru the leavesby GrandmaEMTComment: I thing I see what you're getting at but I'm not sure it works. The shot is a bit too dark to give the feeling of sunlight and I do think it needs at least one point of focus. |

Waiting....by PhotomamaComment: A simply beautiful shot. I think the corner of the bed should have been left out by moving slightly to the left. Perhaps cropping a little tighter. The lighting is superb, well done. |

Shade for twoby CamComment: I like this a lot. What a fabulous scene. The greyscale gives it extra apeal in my view. The composition culd have been a little better I think. The postion of the sailboat directly above the parasol? Might have been better to one side. One other thing is that the horizon is not quite level, it slopes slightly down to the right. With this type of shot it must be absolutely level. But well done for capturing it. |

lost in her eyesby sixmacsComment: Its certainly backlit, but too much in my opinion. Needs less exsposure. Always a tricky one backlighting because the camera's auto exsposure will not be able to cope. Try shooting a series of shots with a range of settings then pick the best one. Unless you intended it to be this way of course? |

DSC_0005.jpgby slonkoComment: Firstly let me say I like the photo, I have to admit flowers etc. isn't my thing but this is a bit different. I like the shallow depth of field and the way the main subject contrasts in colour with the background.
I prefer the greyscale image of the rose? See I don't even know what plants they are! The tones are very good, it almost looks like its made of tissue paper. I like the tight crop, the way it fills the frame. |
