I would have liked to have seen a much closer shot of this. The sky and water hold no real interest on this day, but the intricacy of the building itself could have. I also think the dead centered composition detracts from the appeal of this image. Good luck.

I am not sure I could say this meets the challenge, but I am not one to give out terrible marks for not meeting my opinion of what the challenge is meant to be. I think the composition has some merit, I like the leading space in front of the train, but It seems a little too tight on the top. I also think the soft focus seems inappropriate for this shot. The colors are nice. Good luck.

If the lighthouse in the background is meant to be the landmark, I feel it has been minimized rather than maximized by this shot. I find nothing very striking about the coastline as well. Keep trying.

I like the building chosen as the subject, but I think your foreground choice is too overwhelming. The foreground seems to be cluttering the shot rather than enhancing it to my eye. Good luck.

I think for the simplicity of this shot to work you really need a bright clear day with bold sky in the background.

The colors and light blur are interesting. Definitely an interesting structure considering the bits of modern architecture showing in the background. It might have been improved a bit by showing more of the surroundings to contrast the subject. Great exposure and focus.
