five little pupsby parrotheadComment: cute photo, (actually too cute for my tastes and the soft focus makes it disgustingly sweeter). Nonetheless a shot which should score well. I like the white background with the slits. If only the one on the left was staring at the camera as well.... |

Inspired by the shape of the number 5by nico_blueComment: superb idea and I believe you could have improved on the tonal contrasts on the body. Maybe more burning or even opt for a b+w picture - I'm thinking of Pedro's 'disturbed' or Heida's pregnant person picture (the name escapes me). But I really envy the idea behind the shot. Congrats. |

Nonconformityby ZoomdakComment: nice idea with a good title as well. Pity about the overexposed faces and the slight blur on the hand on the odd one out. |

Journeyby fifieldComment: Wonderful drive-in but the person jars with the overall composition in wearing blue jeans and an orange t-shirt. As is he's a glaring disjunction to the harmony of the blooming trees and flowers. |

Dreamscapeby uberman1cComment: very calming composition and could benefit if the palm feathers were cloned out as they detract one's attention from the boat and the sun. This applies to the buoy behind the boat as well. You could also have fixed the 'horizon' where the hills meet the water as in seems to be slightly tilted. Still a very suggestive snapshot. |

An Evening by the Pool by ArtanComment: Reminiscent of 18/19th century pastoral landscape paintings. Check out //www.tate.org.uk/servlet/CollectionDisplays?roomid=1992 . Its a very evocative scene. I particularly like the shift from a dark foreground receding into a lit background with ones view partially obstructed by foliage thus creating a sense of unattainability. The lit fields are on the other side of the river bank/lake and beyond my reach. Congratulations on a truly beautiful photo. Wonder if you'd be willing to share the technique you used? I'd love to try and replicate something like this. |
