I like the title and the selective desaturation. I think it might be improved with a better background and sharper focus, especailly on the face. Even tho the yellow belt is the primary subject, I think we tend to want faces in focus. :) Hope this is helpful feedback.

I love the whiteness of the photograph to really draw your attention to the yellow lemon. The only suggestion I might make is to backlight the lemon so that it really has a punch to it! BOL :)

Now this is just tooooooo clever. How many times did you have to do this to get the focus so sharp? Just a little movement on the side which hopefully will be overlooked because of the difficulty of the shot. BOL You've got a 9 from me :)

Oh, this is just sooooo nice :) I love creative minds -- wish I had one. The only think I can see that may hurt you in the scoring is that there appears to be a little camera shake or something. Maybe just a little out of focus. The good news is, I love the photo. The bad news is, I rarely pick a winner. :( BOL anyway.

This would have done great in the humor challenge! I think you may have a little too much competition in this challenge for it to very well. But who am I to say? I can't figure out what earns a ribbon! Your focus and color are very, very good. I do think cropping the darker area off the top would help. :)

Oh, man, this makes my mouth pucker! I love lemon pie :) Your colors, focus and dof are great. I'm thinking that a different composition would help -- the background elements seem to detract rather than add to the impact of this great photo. Just an opinion -- hope it's a little helpful.
