This shot has such great potential - but I think you need to crop out everything but the man and the boy standing side by side - everything else is a distraction. Also the man's face is a little out of focus. Other than that this capture demonstrates you have a good eye for candid moments.

This image is both aesthetically disgusting and heartwarming. Unpleasant to view yet it makes me feel good. Thats the beauty of life I guess. This must have been an amazing moment. I really like the contrast between the sterility of the gowns and gloves and the new life. Did you try it in black and white ?? I think that might solve some of the unpleasantness issues and focus attention on the miraculous nature of life 7.

Like the lighting here, this image really does tell a story, the subjects are waaay left of centre which creates a really terrific offbeat mood in this shot.

Not a bad shot, but the pose here is perhaps a little too contrived for this to be completely successful. Also would like a little more light around the eyes. Other than that this is a technically solid shot.

Nice and crisp, Im not sure I'm particularly thrilled about the crop - it makes him look a little too puffy, perhaps getting closer around the head would work better. 7.

I think this might work a little better with a closer crop, the sunlight is also a little harsh - makes the image look a little washed out, you might want to bump the contrast to compensate for that. On the bright side, I you've captured a great moment - he looks suitably depressed which fits your title perfectly.
