Independent Rear Suspension?by Bear_MusicComment: This wonderful picture conjures up some good memories for me. When I was young, my bicycle was my independence. My friends and I loved riding them. The wind blew through our hair, we rode wheelies for distance, and we always skidded to a sideways stop for effect. We mostly rode 20" bikes, but the bike in this picture is from that same bygone era. The processing of the photo gives everything an appropriate antique feel. Of course, the newer looking lock is now needed to protect our independence. I appreciate the perspective, which makes me think of walking up to an old friend, ready to unleash its chains before we leave to seek our fortunes elsewhere. Thank you for the great capture and the memories. |

Sand Mountainby Brent_SComment: I really like the alignment of the two mountains. Is that Fuji in the background? I might have tried to make the sand mountain look more like its bigger sibling, but the alignment is great, the colors are great, and the scale is great. That sand mountain looks a bit like a gnome from behind, by the way. Perfect! |

May Every Day In Your Future Be This Simpleby dahlinComment: One of my top picks in this challenge. I really like the desat and the dark edges. The shading gives the illusion of bigger waves and that sense contrasts interestingly with the carefree child. Great job! |

Silent Soliloquyby vawendyComment: I really like the way the light works here. The designs in the sand create interest, but the lighter color is really what sets a positive tone. The water seems dark and the sky darker still, but we see a lighted foreground and a playful designer in a white dress. It conjures thoughts of hope in the face of adversity. Great capture! |

Up, up, and AWAY!by nickybComment: I'm not sure what to make of this: Is the "away" in the title referring to the location of the missing 90% of the picture? I'm only seeing a 1 inch strip of sky. Not voting now...Thinking. |

Wingsby GeneralEComment: This shot is well focused and I like the composition, but your model let you down. There are several butterflies and/or moths in this challenge and yours is just not as colorful as some. Also that frond he is resting on appears to be decaying on the end, and I think that goes against the lively greens of the majority of the background. |

Gecko by nickybComment: Not sure if you were after the blurred nose or not, but I would have preferred this shot with more sharpness there. The eyes are great but the nose detracts in my opinion. |

Aloneby ecroceComment: I really like this picture, but the small size really takes away from the effect. Could have scored better with better sizing. |

through the shattered glassby tangueraComment: I appreciate the attempt to creatively frame the landscape, but this feels like more of a broken window shot. I can't see much of the landscape through that hole, and I don't get the connection between the broken window and the landscape. |
