Everyday lifesaverby ChezComment: nice idea. i would like it more if the horizon was lined up straighter, or if the angle was a lot more exaggerated. the colors are nice. |

Murderby postoakinversionComment: clever idea. good job with the lighting. i know you wish this wasn't basic editing so that you could use photoshop to make the blue bluer... good look, hope you do well. |

Jalapeño projectby redmondson01Comment: nice, elegant composition. too bad about the hotspot. don't know what the white speck is just past half-way down the pepper (i know you would have cleaned this up if basic editing rules allowed it...). hope you do well. |

White Picket Fenceby digitaldaveComment: i like this picture, but i am sure the literalist will not consider it an object...i like the color balance. i might find it more interesting if shot from a lower point-of-view, with a little more foreground. |

Fightby graphicfunkComment: nice idea. would have liked it more if the light/dark diagonal had been more balance and if there was more contrast between the pin on the dark side. also, when you are speaking metaphorically, take into consideration all the roles (who is the good guy, the bad guy, the underdog, the aggressor). that can be a lot more challenging than simply taking the picture. good luck; it is a very interesting shot. |

Energyby ArnarpComment: ok, i get it; but then again, i have children. i love the idea, especially the way you caught the shadow. i would suggest trying this from a different angle so that you can catch all the shadow. also, try finding a spot where you can do this without all the background clutter (that's one of the downsides to a basic editing challenge, the fact that you can't simply clone out the buildings, fence, and benches...). nice effort; don't take it personally if you get beaten up for your conception of an everyday object... |

CAT 5by PoobaComment: nice shot. good job with focus, lighting, lines, colors. i would suggest that if you are going to partially crop a background object, take more than just a tip off. i wonder how many people don't think of this as an everyday object... |

Yummyby peeceeComment: love everything but the hotspots and the centered focus. maybe if you had cropped from the right. |

Big Eye for the Hoverfly Guyby yukiComment: nice capture. not easy to do. i'll give you points for just about everything, except for not cleaning up the dark spot at the top (when the rules allow it, take advantage of them!) |
