A Home with all the Amenitiesby dipaulkComment: forgive me for being dense, but i'm not sure how this meets the challenge. to me this seems to be more of a macro/close up than a miniature. love the colors. wish the focus was a little sharper and that there was a smaller dof; the background seems very busy. |

I'm not that sick. I've just got the bug.by clictacameraComment: forgive me for being dense, but i'm not sure how this meets the challenge. this seems to be more of a macro than a miniature. i love the colors, but the lighting is a little strong. would like it more if i could see more of the bug. |

A Lilliputan Lighthouseby theSajComment: is that a real lighthouse being made to look small, or is it really a toy light house? it it is a toy, then i would classify it as a miniature. if this is a matter of perspective, then i would hesitate to say it meets the challenge. it is a clever shot with potential. you might want to try it not so centered and at a time of day when the light doesn't wash out the lighthouse details so much. |

Itsy Bitsy Spiderby dphillipsComment: forgive me for being dense, but i'm not sure how this meets the challenge. it seems to be more of a macro shot than a miniature, but maybe that's my problem. the lighting is a little strong, and the shadow at the bottom is distracting. it might help to rotate the image so that the line from top to bottom is either parallel to the border, or more of a diagonal. |

Day Dreamerby instepsComment: forgive me for being dense, but i'm not sure how this meets the challenge. maybe i just don't get it, but what i'm seeing seems like it would fit a challenge called 'oversized'. all the same, it's a nice shot. could probably use a little more contrast between the girl and the tree (maybe if shot from the other side of the chair?). |

toy boatby panosmComment: is that a toy boat, or a real boat far away? if it is a real boat, then i'd have a hard time calling it a miniature. now, if you had a real toy boat floating by in the foreground, that would be a completely different story. lovely colors, could use a little sharpening. |

How Long...by thommoComment: forgive me for being dense, but i'm not sure how this meets the challenge. as an image, it does have possibilities, but i'd need someone to explain to me how it fits this challenge. i would probably like it more if the end was a little sharper and if the backlighting wasn't quite so harsh. |

Paper Birdsby vaguiloComment: nice shot, but not quite sure how it meets the challenge (maybe that's just my problem. i try not to be too literal, but somehow a paper bird with no other context doesn't really get me there...sorry). on the other hand, i like the colors and the lighting. |

Gone Fish'in by debitiptonComment: great shot! really captures the essence of the challenge. i can only find a couple of things to be picky about, and neither are enough to takes points away. i think i would like it better without the blue foreground. while the overall lighting is excellent, i wonder if there is anyway to eliminate the hotspots reflecting off the bowl? (btw, don't they sell miniature coolers at the hobby store?) good luck! |

Tragedy Strikes...by jmleliiComment: i see something blue, but unfortunately, that's about it. i don't know if you could have gotten closer for a more interesting angle or not, but somehow, this seems to be more of a snapshot opportunity that meets the challenge than a strong entry. when you think you have an opportunity, though, by all means exploit it! try as many angles and settings as you can to see what comes out. |
