nice idea. i do hope when you are after things like this, that you take the time to explore more than just eye-level perspectives. in some ways, the centeredness of this works, but i can't help but wonder what this would have been like if you had shot from the floor, from the ceiling, from the side...

i get what you're after, but find the composition a bit haphazard, as if you couldn't settle on where you really wanted to go with it. it also leaves me curious as to why you settled on this to represent your best work of the year.

i have a feeling as to what you were after, but something's just not working for me. the perspective and shallow dof lead me to look in one place, but all the similar colors keeps my eye hunting. maybe if the subject was surrounded by complimentary colors, instead, or if only one particular flower stood out. as is, this is, to me, anyways, visually chaotic.
