Cleanby NiteseadComment: I think this shot needs a bit more attention paid to the composition and form over-all. The noise and contrast are fine, given that they were your intent. They provide a graininess that seems to fit. Good luck this week. |

Astral reflectionby LalliSigComment: Congratulations, you have mastered the aurora photograph! You have helped to inspire DPC to create a wave of copy-cat photographs and similar efforts of long-exposure star-scapes. You have scored well and set a trend. Your new challenge: create another movement, abandon this new encarnation of the 'water-drop, selective de-sat, veiled face' and keep our front page fresh and unexpected. Good luck to you this week, and all other weeks. An eye and mind such as this should not need luck, but I wish it upon you all the same. |

Galaxy, Fireworks or sperm, you pick :)by KrisbyComment: Can't it be both? Interesting shot, here (see, that works both ways, too) but I'm not finding a place to rest my eyes, a point that can give me some meaning for the shot. Granted, this could be like a modern art painting that is not meant to have a subject like a portrait or a landscape. Honestly, a detail from the shot, meaning a smaller section, could yield a more pleasing result. Play around with some crops and see if you come up with something good. Sorry to give you an assignment, but afterall, this site is about growth. Good luck. |

Joy of Speedby gocComment: Wonderful shot and expertly captured. The clarity of the child's face is fantastic - the emotion is clearly evident. Good luck. |

Untitledby FromacComment: I like this. The fact that you have to look at the photo for a while for all elements to register with your eyes is a plus in my mind. I have to say, in this challenge, I have a similar entry - I'm drawn to this shot as a result. The framing is interesting and out of the ordinary, and the ultra-high contrast is nice and adds to the overall feel of the shot. Good luck. |

It was the Salmon Mousse....by skewsmeComment: Speaking of the Meaning of Life, read this. It's about 2/3 of the way down, but it's all funny. Oh - your photo. It has a strong graphical quality, but it needs something else and maybe less contrast overall. Good luck. |
