Interlude in the Woodsby msdoubletroubleComment: They must've been running a special on borders that day. Wow.
Anyway, I like the shot. The two cranes are a good capper to the image, and it almost seems as though some of the cypress knees and branches are talking to each other, too. All in all, I think this is a good shot, but that border blows my mind (and really, I normally don't mind borders). |

Sculptureby charmayneComment: The way the logs leave the frame is jarring to me. I think this subject has wonderful potential, although I honestly have neither the expertise or the gall to tell you how to achieve that potential. Perhaps another angle, a different time of day, I don't know...maybe just going back and spending some more time there. |

Shadows on the viewdeckby burtctComment: I would like to see this shot more focused on the shadows, perhaps a different angle so that we lose the blown-out sky. I think the texture and lines have great potential, but they get a bit lost in this shot. |

Still Life in Wood #1 Desk & Vaseby lytaComment: I find the rug distracting here...I think it is just too bright when compared to the wood. I like the shapes and composition, however. It seems that the wood is just a bit dark. |

Slow but steadyby awpollardComment: Good use of black and white and an astounding amount of detail and texture. This shot has a spooky feel to me, but I like it and I hope it does well. |

Soft, Hard, Wet, Dry, Smooth, Rough, Sharp & Dullby dsmboostaholicComment: This is a good shot - let it speak for itself! The title is patronizing, doubly so considering that the challenge already directs the viewer to look at textures. I do think that you did a good job with your main objective in taking a shot that shows lots of good texture...so for that, good on you! |

Meby HBunchComment: Looks like a good choice for a profile photo...too bad you have a lot of good choices to make your good choice from. |

The inner circleby gprinslooComment: First off, I think your shot is a bit dark to be well received. It is an interesting subject and well suited for the challenge.
Something I think this subject would be good for is a stereoscopic image. Look at Labuda's profile...he's got some examples. It could be fun to mess with. |

The Ring and the Teacupby 3amfromkyotoComment: I'm not 100% sure what it is that I am looking at, but I like it. Based on your title, I can see the cup, and I guess the ring is a magnifying glass or something that refracts the light. Cool shot. |
