RedYellow Garageby otisXmikeComment: I gasped when I saw this one. (I'm not the only one in a colorful mood, I see.) Fantastic abstract-- did you desaturate the background, or was that its natural color? Wow, if you made that a print, I would buy it. My favorite colors all together in a great industrial shot. See, this is the kind of picture I'd like to take... I just can't seem to see things like you do... I'm going to go out to our shop at work and see what I can find, I'm sure we've got tons of old interesting objects back there. (Actually, when I drove by our yard tonight, I saw the funniest thing-- won't go into detail because I'm going to take a picture of it in the morning. It cracked me up.) Anyway.
Oh, just noticed the border... Very subtle and doesn't take away from the image at all-- in fact, it adds to it. Most people on DPC don't really know how to use borders, but you, obviously, know the right way to use them.
:) Thanks for commenting on all my shots! I'm actually pondering sending some 4x6's to the different places in Las Colinas. Nothing will probably come of it, but you never know, right? My perspective entry is another shot from LC... pretty sure I made the wrong choice, though. I like it, but will like it more when I get to process it. :)
Is this the longest comment ever? That's what I'm goin' for. :) Have a GREAT night!! |

The splash of an apple by LalliSigComment: Wow, I've never seen this one before... Don't tell Terje, but I like this better than the kiwi!! The complimentary colors are gorgeous and the clarity is perfection!!! Adding to my faves. :) |

One sundayby zxaarComment: I absolutely love the processing on this-- the bright brights and the dark darks... quite lovely. Makes me want to try something similar. :) |

Ahh! retirement in JAMAICAby dmaddenComment: Good job on getting good lighting on this... could have been a difficult subject with all the rust, but you managed to keep in the details. Good job! |

Apolloby aimeethetooComment: i think i would have voted your entry higher had i seen it presented in lighting like the prop photo. i gave you a 5, because i, too, thought it was one of those fold out crepe thingies you get a party stores, so just like i would likely vote most statues or pictures of other crafty objects in other challenges, i thought it was sort of ho-hum. i felt you met the challenge because even though it may have been a crepe thing, it was still paper, which is all stationery in my book. it's a gorgeous work of art made with paper... i have a new respect for it now, but... and this is just my little ol' opinion, i wasn't a fan of the lighting or the composition... so with all of those things, that's why i gave you a 5. |

Abstract Meshby otisXmikeComment: Now that's pretty cool. From the thumbnail I thought it was a sunflower. ;) The texture's great... almost reminds me of a full vacuum bag. :) Great composition, too. |
