This is one of my favorite photographs. The subject caught my attention and was sharp as needed in this photo. The exposure imo was good along with the contrast and I love the colors. A well-balanced photograph taken from a good perspective. Great photo!

Reading or Writing

I see what kind of effect you were striving for but it just didn̢۪t develop well. I think you should of held the hand that was doing the writing a second or so longer where we could of seen it better. I also think you should of taken the picture from the opposite angle. From bottom to top that way if the effect would have developed the way you wanted we [the voters] would be able to view your picture from the perspective of the person doing the reading and writing.

Great close up and detail. I like the focus and yet it has a soft feel. Great job. The only drawback is the right top corner I would crop out the black area. I know it̢۪s not much but it is slightly distracting.

Your subject seems to slightly be out of fucus and would of loved to see the same picture in a larger size.

Palm Tree

Good focus and a beautiful blue ski and the clouds do add to the picture. I think it would have been better if you would of cropped the left side to only include about 2/3 of the diameter of the palm tree and rotate your crop so that the three would of be vertical not leaning.

I̢۪m very distracted by all the black. I have to admit it was an interesting approach to the challenge but IMO I don̢۪t think it fits to well. I find myself trying to put the pieces together like a puzzle instead of looking a photograph
