The Sistersby timmiComment: Great photograph. I wish I had the skills to make a photograph like this. Everything I enter never goes beyond basic editing because of my lack of skill. I would love for you to post in a forum [if possible] after the challenge is over, showing step-by-step how you achieved this. It would help me a lot. Great job! |

Autumn Afternoonby bobdaveantComment: I like the way you took this picture out of the shadows framed by trees. Great color and lighting – good job. |

Photographic Poverty?by SteveJComment: did not vote in the ‘poverty’ challenge because I am by all earnings am poverty due to illness that has kept me out of work all year. For that reason I did not think I could vote without being bias, I didn’t want my personal experience effect my scoring, just my decision. It may have been the right judgment or not.
I like your photo it does represent poverty in several ways including the synonyms of poverty.
1. You ‘lacked’ the camera you would like to have: lack is a synonym of poverty.
2. You picture showed ‘poor quality’. Not being rude: Poor Quality is a synonym of poverty.
For those reasons, which make your photo meet the challenge and the humor involved I would of given you a 6. Good photo!

Santa has just graduated in aquariumsby greslizzzComment: I think this is a very big stretch at meeting the challenge. As far as the photograph goes, the subject is not interesting, but that̢۪s just my opinion. The lighting is not good and the focus is soft. I would suggest more lighting on the Santa with white lighting. Seems as if the white balance is off. |

road of octoberby yomanComment: I don̢۪t see how the photograph meets the challenge of education. But that̢۪s just my opinion. However you have taken a good and interesting photograph. I will be coming backing to this photograph over and over until the challenge ends to see if I can find a link between the photo, title, and challenge. |

Hey, Teacher, Leave Those Kids Alone!by MrYuComment: We don't need no education
We don't need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers leave the kids alone.....
Great Photograph, I knew where you were going with it when I saw the picture, I didn̢۪t even have to read the title. The only thing distracting to me is the solid black and very thick border, but that̢۪s an personal opinion. Great job!

Walnut Grove Schoolhouseby vontomComment: I liked this photo when I saw the thumbnail edition. When I opened it up to see the large picture so I could get a good view the subject still trapped my attention. But it does seem to be to some extent out of focus witch was disappointing. But a good photograph. |

Breaking Pointby aznymComment: A great low key photograph that fits the challenge imo. I think the subject being out of focus and her reaction in focus was a plus to this photo. Well balanced and a good perspective. Great job! An additional note I was just reading on low key photography a night or two a go and the definition of low key photography fits your photograph well.
[Low key pictures concentrate on the darker tones, often conveying an atmosphere of tension or a powerful deep strength.] And IMO I believe that̢۪s what you were trying to covey with your photograph. Just my 2 Cents! |
