Inertia Meets Gravityby SkipComment: Cool picture! But it feels closer to simplicity than complexity. Simple arch shape on plain solid background. No intricate or elaborate details. |

Enablerby GabrielComment: Centered compositions are hard, but you pulled it off here. Nice. |

Public Art & Architectureby tyt2000Comment: Dude, this is third spiderweb so far. Weird.
Anyway, I like this one. Good patterns. Nice background that's not toooooo plain. |

Complex Natural Shapeby Judith PolakoffComment: Nice! I might have focused a little tighter on shell, because the space around it seems to make the composition less complex, but it's a great image nonetheless. Good and sharp focus, nice contrast between the foreground and background. |

Life From Deathby ellamayComment: Ooops, this must have been the wrong challenge, huh? Wildlife is *this* week, I think.
Okay, it just really is not at ALL complex to me. A bird. In the water. With a fish. Somewhat blurry background increases the focus on the foreground subject and reduces the complexity.
Still, this is a great photo! Is that a flounder? Fabulous image, but it makes me double-check which challenge I'm voting for. |

Definition of a Derivativeby smokeditorComment: Cool composition!! I love how the ring is in sharp focus and then it fades into the everlasting blur. I wonder what the background is we see through the hole?
It seems not quite straight however. I would rotate clockwise a degree or so, so that the line in the centerwas completely vertical. These centered compositions are *exceedingly* demanding of perfection in framing and cropping. |

Technology of the 50's & 60'sby SamTComment: Good subject, good interesting camera angle.
Bad flash. Bad, bad flash!! The lighting really ruins this otherwise fabulous photo. The direct on-camera flash makes for flat light that doesn't show textures or shape, makes ugly shadows (for instance beind the coils of the big spiral coil at the bottom), and nasty glare like there is inside the case. |

Tangled Livesby rileyComment: This is a very unique knot picture. I'm 'knot' quite sure what it is, but it's interesting and complex. |
