Gorgeous! The image is very detailed and has good contrast. The bright lights add variety to the scene and create a visually interesting lighting situation. The lights and the surrounding areas are overexposed, but I don't think it's necessarily too bad.

Skip gives good advice though: this image might be even better if both the highlights and shadows could retain detail. I would love to see this image in an HDR version (from perhaps 5 frames in 2-stop increments? I haven't done enough HDR yet it know what would work best).

Great concept, creative and thought provoking. I think you might be able to improve it even more by shooting from a "more interesting" perspective than straight on from the side.

Very nice grain, it is very natural looking, unlike the noise in a lot of the other images. I like the muted colors.

Really doesn't seem like image grain, but more like a patchy oil-painterly look, as if the image resolution was upsampled way too much with some resizing tool or an effects filter was applied too much. It is a good composition, however, but I am too distracted by the odd texture of the image.

Who! I think I see an image in all that noise... It is an interesting effect, though, a very impressionistic use of grain.

Gorgeous!! I love the rays of light with the opera house silhouetted. Is the grain from digital sensor noise? It is some of the more attractive sensor noise I've seen. (very fine-grained and evenly distributed with no banding or patchiness).

The 'grain' in this one is very digital-sensor-noise-looking to me. By that I mean, patchy color noise and horizontal/vertical linear artifacts in the noise pattern. The composition itself is rather nice, I do like its simplicity. Perhaps without the noise it would be a really nice image.

This one is only OK for me, dawg. There's just a lot of chroma noise that seems to be in this one, like in the shadows on the platform between the lighted areas.

Great use of grain: not excessive and it has an attractive quality. Please let us know in the photograph description what technique you used for the grain, I am interested in looking back at the entries after the challenge and finding out what techniques provide attractive grain vs. ugly, noisy digital-looking patterns.

I like the image; by keeping a shallow DOF you have focus attention on the subject and eliminated distracting elements from the composition. However, the bits of horizontal banding, particularly about 1/5th of the way down from the top of the image, is kind of distracting. But still a good image.
