You put the backlight to very good use here. A very nice capture that is both delightful and beautiful. |

I roo was going for a similar shot. This is soothing and taking full advantage of the baclight to use the transparant nature of the subject to light the foreground. |

A very good application wherein the backlight is used in a subtle manner. |

Very nice and beautiful subject. The backlight is a little too strong, yet the image has charm. The pose is just right with the askanse stare. |

This certainly meets the challenge and the I like the concept. I would have used a weaker backlight, if not I would have turned the hand more to avoid the burnout on the thunb and nail. |

Enchanted Forestby flip89Comment: from the critique club:
This is an interesting image with a strong foreground against a majestic background. Its problem in the challenge may be due to the lack of color, the harsh light, namely the time of exposure. Since this challenge was advanced editing I would have made a solid or gradient layer and used a either a red or a blue and then select a low opacity, just enough to bring some magic into the image. So there is nothing that is particularly wrong with the shot except that the enchantment aspect was not exploited.
You certainly had a good idea and you managed to make a very good capture. The composition is good. My only advise is that when you shoot still subjects, I would opt for the lowest ISO and take advantage of the smallest aperture even if you have to go down to 60th of a second which you can very well manage by holding the camera steady.
Another idea for this subject is to have gone for a close up at ground level of the plants. Drop a red or blue tint layer, as explained above and bingo, the enchantment is there. |
