Shot Glassby rkligmanComment: The choice of color adds to the artistic presentation of this photograph. The crop and perspective adds much interest. Technically adequate in all aspects. Well done! |

Piggyby kyeboshComment: Broke the bank? :)
Well within the spirit of this challenge. I like the artistic presentation as well. Is that my monitor playing tricks on me, or is that a smudge near the top edge and top-right edge? Yes, there are a couple of artifacts which detracts from the beauty of this shot. It's subtle, but unfortunate. Still, just a minor issue. Good job! |

Sometimes, I Feel Like an Empty Shellby debitiptonComment: Like the DOF. Clean presentation. I think the point is well conveyed.
Technical: One comment: lighting a bit harsh from the right, but not enough to detract from the beauty and simplicity of this shot. Well done! |

Broken Mindby dalee18Comment: Dark theme. She looks withdrawn, troubled, subdued. Your point is well taken.
Technical: Love the low key + toning. Composed and framed well. |

Rebel Yellby umbrisComment: OUCH!
Tell me you can put this back together again? :)
All the parts from this crop looks undamaged. However, I think this fits perfectly with the spirit of the challenge. Well done!

Light --- Northern & Houseby kremkexComment: Congrats on the top 20 finish!
This is odd...there shouldn't be this prominent banding at your settings of ISO 100 @ 30 sec. Probably introduced in the post processing (pushed the exposure?). Might have served you better to use a higher ISO. Not sure. |

Moonrise Over Stonehenge by EddyGComment: Amazing. Had me fooled completely! Still, one of the best of the bunch and well deserving of a ribbon, congratulations on a most creative entry! |

Thanksgiving Towerby crabappl3Comment: I've seen this before on DPC. I think the stained glass is well exposed, but the interior is somewhat subdued. Quite a difficult shot to take, I imagine. Overall I think you handled it well.....hmm...perhaps a fill flash on aperture priority with the same shutter speed would have improved the interior lighting?
EDIT: Revisiting for another look. On second thought, I think the exposure is just fine the way it is. Would I prefer a brighter interior? Yes but it does not detract any from this outstanding photograph. Bumping up. 8
EDIT: My pick for top three. Bumping again to 9. |
