Raising the flagby carotop111Comment: The sky is quite dramatic. Like the silhouette, but would like it better if the rest of the ship was in the frame. I think I''m blind...I don't see Waldo anywhere near the flag. |

Wanna Play Some Hide-n-go-Seek???by taterbugComment: Hello! I see you! :-)
Concerning this photograph. Two issues which I'd like to comment on. 1) This picture appears to have been cropped originally to a small size, perhaps around 300 pixels on the long edge, and subsequently upsized to 640 pixels, which results in pixelated artifacts in place of fine detail. 2) Colors are very subdued. This might be intentional as it helps somewhat to camoflauge the model in the photo. What may have worked better would be to desaturate and tone the image.

Roots of Lifeby gevorgComment: I think this could have been a great entry for this challenge. Those roots are vaguely human in form and if you had a model painted white posing amid the roots, say for example near the top left portion of the photo, in semblance with the roots, this would work better in meeting the challenge. Or perhaps there really is a person here hidden somewhere, but I can't see her/him.
Suggestions: Keep entries at least 600 pixels on the long edge to preserve as much detail. This was a great idea that was hampered by technical issues. |

Define Gravity!by arjunComment: As I view this photograph, I wonder, what happened to degrade the quality of this photograph as such. The composition appears to be interesting enough with the lone reflection and close crop of the edge of the water. The foliage in the foreground also adds an interesting mix of colors. Unfortunately, there is what appears to be very strong compression artifacts as evidenced by the haloing around areas of contrast. There appears to be quite a lack of fine detail...almost as if this image was cropped originally down to 300-400 pixels on the long edge and resized up to 600 pixels. The file size appears to be close to 100K which should suggest that there is enough information within. Consequently, these haloing artifacts are probably more a result of the post processing.
I think you had here a nice view and an interesting idea for this challenge. The limiting factor in this instance was the material you ended up with after the crop and post processing. |

Time-out.by docpjvComment: Nice perspective. Good clean line of columns. And there's Waldo, taking a break and relaxin'. |

Learn to be nice, not nasty by steinarComment: Revisiting for some comments.
The mood is quite fitting here. The model's expression is very mysterious and dark, especially the way he challenges the camera with his piercing eyes. The swirling fog adds the right amount of mystique as well. Bumping up. |
