ok heres my comment, I understand your attempt here BUT... from what I can see you are attempting this without enought lighting or bad placement of the lighting or a combination of both. this might have worked out well with a head light from above and one from about 8oclock position. something just not falling into place with this one for me... 4

everything about this shot is perfect!!!Lighting is great colors and focus are dead on... skin is a touch soft in appearance but becaus there is so much detail here I can see that the shin is soft because it "is"... Best of the challenge so far 10

another great shot. Im thinking more could be done with the cropping but would have to see the whole shot to give details... I like the golden colors here as well, something bothers me a bit about the texture of the photo itself, could be over worked a bit or could be the jpg compression messing with things a bit... 7

I enjoy this shot especially with all the noise. Here is another great example of when noise is an attribute. Another note, this shot does quite well capturing its subject without looking posed. 8
