Nervous Biteby RoosterComment: Conceptually, a good start to an idea. Technically, it leaves quite a bit to be desired. The lack of focus detracts from the shot and brings out too much of a "snapshot" characteristic for my taste. The sepia tone is a good choice, but unfortunately it's not enough to mask the haloing around so many of the high-contrast boundries. And with a bedspread that busy, a much shallower DOF would have served you many times better. |

You Snooze....by BruBComment: Love it, simply LOVE IT!!!! not to mention, it's one of my worst habits!!! The roundness of the shot is a little distracting, but for something this creative, I'll take it in stride! |

BAD - Smokin' weedby KaDiComment: absolutely, bloody FANTASTIC!!!!! This is certainly one of those moments where the title makes the shot (though it could live w/o the "bad -" portion and still get the point across). And not only is the topic top-notch, but it's also technically flawless as far as I can tell. Ya have to respect a photographer w/ this twisted a sense of humor! ::grin:: |

Feeding the Habitby mariomelComment: the composition is striking, and the tonallity is fabulous. Now if only we were given a clue as to how this relates to "habits", we'd be all set... |

Smokeby matiscroComment: good concept, but the right edge of the shot is so washed out that almost all definition ofthe cigarette is lost. |

Fast Drivingby DrakeComment: From this shot, all I'm getting is a parked car. Parking is rarely a common "habit", though this does appear to be parked in the middle of the road, and that could be a little dangerous (::grin::). Regardless, a slightly longer shutter speed to capture just a bit of the motion blur would give us a significantly stronger whack over the head as to what's going on here and what the "habit" might be. |

Midnight Snackingby goinskiingComment: I like the idea presented, but for me the shot is just dark enough to mask the fact that the subject's opening a refridgerator door. Just a touch more light on the outside of the door would have lent a whole new world of character to the shot. |

One last cigarette before he arrivesby kevrobertsonComment: are you absolutely certain she's not just taking her temperature aurally? There's just no way to really tell that's a cigarette in her hand... It could be a pen, pencil, a piece of chalk, or, well, a thermometer, however unlikely that might be... |

Smokinby LokiComment: I like the flame capture (and that's saying something after having looked at WAY too many "Fire & Ice"'s in the opposites challenge), and there's certainly no confussion over the "bad habit" depicted. If there had been a way to capture a little less of the blues on the right side of the shot, it would have been just that much better in my book, but it's still a solid shot. |

Just One More Pintby wkoffelComment: clean, clear, and it gets to the point of the topic nicely. I'm always a fan of a bit more adventure in photography, though. |
