I been a casual observer of this site for a few years now. I have had a tendency to stop voting for the photos on this site because I am usually in total disagreement with the weekly winners. I have had a hard time figuring how my ideas of a winner and the actual winners can differ so much. To me it seems that it is more of contest of who can photoshop better than the photographic skills a person has. And as usual I did not vote this time. But your photo is probably one of the nicest I have seen at DP Challenge. The first thing that strikes me is the warmth that your photo exhibits. The composition is perfect and it's in focus. I do not know how much processing was involved but it looks it was kept to a minimum. Excellent job, congratulations. The only negative that I could say about your photo is that it did not receive the blue ribbon. Good job.

This would have been a much better photo by;
1. showing the boat more by having more of it in the photo.
2. showing less of the boat by not having it in photo at all.
as the photo is now the boat is very distracting.

Remember the rule of thirds. Your sky and ground are to evenly divided. The railroad tracks are to centered in the photo.
