You've got access to so many unusual and beautiful creatures! This is quite the unique looking cat; and you've captured it very well, with great detail and rich tones. I do think it might be better if the ear wasn't cropped off. Altogether, very nice work.

I would love to come to Australia and chase reptiles around. Unfortunately, I'd probably pick up the most poisonous thing in the country. That is one fat lizard with rich earth-tone colors. He'd look nice in my living room! Thanks for adding the story of how you found him. It's interesting that they were travelling with a baby.
