Woods and Lake by Moonlightby OdysseyF22Comment: The clouds really make this shot. They give the sense of movement, as though the viewer is zooming into the frame. Very crisp and noiseless for such a long exposure. |

Elementalby inshaalaComment: Nice contrast and cool reflection. I think it's a great concept and you almost nailed it. The ice cube looks a little muddy and yellowish. The fire is interesting and colorful, but I find myself wishing at least some of it were in focus. Those are the reasons that the subjects don't hold my attention for very long.
The large amount of negative space doesn't do much for me either. A horizontal crop might have been better suited to this setup; with the ice cube on the intersection of thirds and the fire along the lower third line.
I'm envious of your granite. It's sure to provide you with many great opportunities for reflection shots. Don't be discouraged. My photos never score as high as I expect them to, either:) |

WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get)by De SousaComment: I'm running out of ways to describe how delightful your images are.
It's definitely the strangest voting pattern I've seen. 6 ones and 0 twos? Not only did you perfectly execute this idea, but you also got some very strong reactions. That's art, in my book.
It's my opinion that anyone who gave this a 1 should be told to "Fork Off!" |

Love is... Flying into your arms by De SousaComment: A perfect illustration of what can be achieved when the right and left brains work together in absolute harmony.
You've married the organic, emotional and colorful to the geometric, analytical and monochromatic in a ceremony of classic composition.
I LOVE it! Another well deserved ribbon. Message edited by author 2007-02-28 12:52:17. |
