I like the bokeh in the background.. but I would have cleaned up the foreground more before shooting.. singled out the mushroom or whatever, had the foreground in full focus.

I love the colors. I would have stopped it down a bit more to open up the sharpness of the image, correcting the out of focus flowers in the foreground and sharpening the water drops. I do like the flowers/foliage mix tho =)

post challenge critique... a crop of just the face processed more, make the eyes pop, tried it in black/white or a bit of desaturation or color alteration, that lucis art look or nicely sharpened.. might have gotten higher scores from DPC voters. (See 8th place in this challenge for an example of what I mean) Personally, I gave it an 8, I liked it, but most voters love that processed look. :)

Great image, ribbon deserved. I think we all interpret photos individually, base our opinions off what we see, etc.. I do see the ribs, I don't like the uber skinny look, however, it works great here for me. She seems waifish, like she washed up on the shore.. it only _adds_ to "my" story of the photo. Kudos to the model!

I've been trying for months to get into birding, so I can truly appreciate this image. The bird itself is beautiful, the coloring is excellent and the pose of the bird is great. Add to this bird a snowfall and you have composed an image to be proud of. Hope this is going on a wall somewhere :) 9

Before I even read the title, the coloring gave me an instant feeling of fire.. the calmness of the water, intensity of the sky, add the wonderful title and you have an image to be proud of.
