Very cool subject that answers the challenge theme nicely. IMHO a tighter shot or more crop to highlight the upper part of the photo may have added to the shot. I find the elements in the lower part of the shot (the road and van a tad distracting. Just my humble opinion, nice shot nonetheless.... 7

I like the subject and the direction you're taking with this. IMHO there is not enough emphasis on the ornaments to make them the focal point of the shot and create that contrast in colors. The drab, earthy background of that house would have made a nice contrast to the ornament if composed with the red in the foreground. Maybe at an angle and from a lower POV? Just my humble opinion, nice shot nonetheless
