The b/w treatment adds a really interesting effect to the animal's facial expression. Perfect catch-lights in the eyes as well.

Seems a bit dark, and there's abit of motion blur near the tiger's backside. I'm sure with the darkness it would have been tough to work with a higher shutter speed. Not sure what length lens you used, but there are relatively inexpensive attachments for speedlights that throw their beams a good distance. If used off-camera form a remote, it would have been just what this shot needed. I *do* like your use of space, and you obvioulsy had a solid focus on the eyes, so overall this is a great shot.

This doesn't have much emotional appeal for me, but it's obvious you're creatiivity is above average and know how to make your gear work for you. I think this would get a higher rating from me if it were set in a boxing ring setting rather than a plain white background. That would probably make your technique more difficult, but would put the emotion back into it. Either way, kudos for an image worth taking a second look at!

WOW!!!! I can't wait to see who did this one and where it was taken... Absolutely goes on my favorites list. I have nothing to critique as I would not change anything. Great dramatic lighting, I love the surreal feel of the image, and what really captures my attention is the way you've isolated the detailed silhouettes of the central trees from the thicher trees to the right.

Creative use of space - I like the tree obscuring the subject. Great natural expression as well. The problem for me is that the highlights in the background compete with the model's face. If you could have taken this image when the sun was less intense, and the histogram more compressed, I think it would have been amazing.

Beutiful image, but it feels like stretching the theme a bit. I'd suggest a bit less sky in this with more foreground to replace it. This would better lead your eye to the subject and remove some distraction.

Looks like quite a bit of focus problems in the image, and overexposure on the foreground branch - looks like from flash.

I'm wondering how far this will go due to its heavy digital art feel. I'm more of a purist in that I enjoy photographs whcih depict things in a realistic manner. That being said, I think this is an attractive work. In the strictest sense, photography means painting with light, so in my mind this is definitely legitimate work, but too overprocessed for my personal tastes. That being said I'm giving it a relatively high rating,.. You've created controversy for me, and I like images that make me think.

the overexposure in the background is a bit extreme... Distracts from the subjects of the ribbon and the tortoise shell.
