Donner Passby ChrisW123Comment: Great location and range of tones. I miss seeing clouds! The trees in the foreground get lost in the light sceme. Still a grand landscape photo. |

Deceasedby BlackdogComment: The background is blurred in my estimation, taking away from that Ansel quality of style. I like the textures and feel to the subject. |

Rustic Windowby cbellerComment: Sharpness is lacking. I love the old time weathered feel of the subject. Best of luck. |

Oak Tree in Snowby visaksenComment: The sky is the missing piece in this photo in my newbie estimation. Clouds would have given this photo the push to the realm of wonder. Still, I love the contrasting blacks/whites of this tree in snow. Beautiful work! |

Tree in playground, light snowby Pug-HComment: Great range of white to black. The foreground has too much weight and non-interest. Perhaps cropping more of the dark soil and burning the top end of the clouds would add to the visual appeal. Tree silhouette is lovely. |

Railway Bridgeby shutterphunkComment: Perhaps a bit too far into sepia color for true Ansel style, though the composition is spectacular and the range of black to white is masterful. |

After the snowby sbeaumontComment: Creative use of "negative" space, though doesn't express A.A's style. I like it though. |

Oregon - We Love Dreamers by MickComment: Oswald West, former governor of Oregon, declared the Oregon beaches to belong to all the people, forbidding anyone to claim one grain of sand from the high tide line out to sea, from Astoria to Brookings as private property. This billboard is in that same spirit, welcoming all inlanders to come out to dream, to soak up the beauty of the north Oregon Coast. I love the child on the rock, putting perspective and human story into the scene. The golden glow is extraordinary. By the way, the larger rock in the photo is known locally as Lady Rock. It's either Lady or Lincoln, I get the two confused. Congrats on the ribbon, Michael. Thanks for a great billboard! |

Auchumpkee Creek Covered Bridgeby CarolinaGirlComment: Beautiful warm wood tones in this shot, evoking the old time world when things were built of wood, from the forest surrounding them. I love the stone pillars. Much better than my covered bridge entry in this challenge. |
