Man, I really wish this were in another challenge. I think it is an absolutely gorgeous, just not truly "fitting" as an entrance. What I mean is ... if it weren't for your title, I'd have no idea that this was any kind of entrance and the image really needs to speak for itself. But in any case, kudos on an awesome image!

The shallow DOF and the "angle" of the shot work very well together here, giving the ball importance by diagonally angling up towards the action. Even the overhead lights play an important role here. Well done.

There's just not a lot of background blur on this image. To make a truly succesful "motion panning shot", you need to run the shutter at a much slower speed than you would normally use and then, as accurately as possible, follow your subject with the camera (that much you appear to have done well, you just needed a slower shutter speed to blur the background).
