Engagement: Kissby lovethelightComment: I didn't even notice the shadow when I was looking at these from work. The shadow totally "makes the shot". I love it. If you cropped the shadow out, it would just be an ordinary kiss (well, I like that she bent her right leg and put her hand on him, those work well), but the shadow adds a whole other dimension and makes this a very interesting shot.

Engagement: Fountainby lovethelightComment: I like how happy they are together. And the way she is holding on to him says she trusts him and wants to be near him. It's amazing that you got that much light on them, considering the back lighting. Very difficult to do. Well done.

Wilmont Creekby IvoryComment: Sharpening around tree branches is tricky ... it is very easy to over-sharpen small details like tree branches. Notice the white halos around the branches? You have two choices: 1) turn down the sharpening, or 2) undo the sharpening in the areas that become overly sharp (by using the history brush, or by putting the sharpened image into a layer and then masking out the sharpening). |

Richland Creekby jere2201Comment: This would be more interesting if the water cut a diagonal across the image rather than a straight line right up the middle. Even better would be some kind of S curve. |

Foster Parkby Yo_SpiffComment: What little bit of color is in this image ... is over saturated, specifically the reds at the bottom center and the green on the middle right. Colors like that just aren't natural. |

The Bakley Estateby MAKComment: I bet this would be a beautiful photo ... even without over processing it. To me, it's just too "unreal". The greens are over saturated, the water and grass are both over sharpened. The sky and clouds are too dark. (hint: generally any kind of reflection will be darker than the original, especially reflection off of a water surface, because some of the light is lost - but in this image, the reflection is brighter than the sky)
Turn the processing down just a bit and it'll do fine. |
