Although I've done this myself on several occasions ... I've heard from a very well know / respected portrait photographer, that you should never shoot into a lady's elbow. Just passing the advice along.

I'm sure you've done this on purpose, but still... my own preference would be to not lose all the dress detail.

Very nice. Love the pose, the lighting on her face, the b&w tones. Well done.

You've probably been told this already but... a shadow is not the same thing as silhouette. Silhouettes become dark because they are light from behind. In other words, the light is in front of the camera, beyond the subject, lighting the subject from behind. And it is typically so bright that if you adjust your exposure for the lighting in the background, the subject goes black.

If you were to take this image into an editor and sample the color of the hat, you would find it is somewhere around R:69, G: 66, B: 61. On the other hand, if you take a look at the strongest contenders in this challenge, they will probably have subjects that are much closer to R:0, G:0, B:0 (in other words, black). The hat in this subject is too gray....

Here's what I think about silhouettes: If the subject needs front lighting to help you understand what it is, then it is not a strong candidate for silhouette lighting. The images that really work in this challenge have subjects in complete silhoutte against a brighter background. It is the strength of that division, between light and dark, and the story they tell which captures the imagination.
