Near the Endby cabaComment: Definitely not a boring sunset image. I love the silhouetted buildings and the tones in the sky, but the sun's rays washing over the mountain in the background are just breathtaking. Kudos to you for capturing this image and your post-processing, if any, is superb. The only thing "wrong" with this image is some may bump you down because it's "just" a sunset. What it is, is an example of why sunset shots can be so effective, and can work so well. Congrats on a great entry and a great accomplishment. |

Classic Beautyby jfaulknerComment: Was this taken during the challenge dates or in the 1950's?? Seriously, love the use of selective desat. I like the little bits of the background that also retained their color. Beautiful truck and an image that surely meets the challenge. |

narcissismby aplomb76Comment: Hmmm, I like the presentation and crop. Chopping the forehead and leaving shoulders prominent feels "right" to me. Something feels off to me though, maybe the shadows around the eyes and mouth? Not sure. Nice intense and serious portrait. Not sure I get your intention though with the title. Good job. |

Hoveringby scalvertComment: What shutter speed Shannon? Gotta be quick to freeze those wings this much. Nice shots! |

True Gritby scalvertComment: An inspired idea - truly the work of a cruel, cruel mind. I like the angle chosen for the shot, but the darkness at the top is a bit problematic. |

Engagedby cabaComment: I love your idea here but the execution just doesn't seem to speak loudly enough. The softly blurred city background is much stronger than the silhouetted couple and constantly draws attention away. I'm sure you went for the portrait crop because of the beautifully lit tower, and I can't argue with that. However, the overall image makes me want to like it a lot more than I actually do. |

Farewellby LevTComment: An absolutely wonderful image in every way. The beautiful tones, detail in the ocean, the setting sun, the dock and the person with surf-board. I can't think of a single thing you could have done to make this a stronger image. Simply outstanding! |

Catching the sunby BrinComment: What a beautiful take on a sunset. Quite a keeper there. Make a print for yourself, for sure. |
