I think this is my favorite of the bunch as presented. It appears that they are at a French farm and the urgency is shown in his face that something needs immediate attention. The soldier in the background gives it that touch that people are responding to the call.

My favorite, but you know how weapons go on this site. The b&w works really well here and gives it that old time war feeling. The focus looks like it's a little forward of his eye, maybe on the bolt of the rifle, but still a good pic.

Good detail in the white spade. (for me) almost too dark in the face. The emotion of this pic runs high with me showing a tired soldier.

I really like the texture of the scruffy beard and helmut netting, but the guy's cheek in the background is a little blown out. Almost has that 'Patton' feeling. So what does it look like in b&w?

Beautiful panorama. I was stationed in England from 1979-1982 and would go on temporary duty to Whitby. I still have a large piece of Whitby Jet that I have not carved yet.

....oh, good job on the stitching. I used to stay at the hotel that was (or used to be) about where you took this shot from. I really enjoyed the pram races they had. Got pictures and they are all film.
