Ice Candleby CODEComment: Very nice reflection - giving it both the opposition of fire and ice, but also up and down. The DOF and exposure are very nice - capturing the essence of the fire very well. |

Opposite Ducksby onlyangComment: Nice capture of the ducks going in two different directions. I like the quality of detail on the foreground duck's feathers, especially on the back of his neck. The contrast could be bumped up slightly without losing the feather details. |

Chess Anyone?by ChefbozComment: Very interesting take on the challenge - old school/high tech. I like the exposure - I know some will think it's a little overexposed but I think it gives the shadows a nice techy quality that's appropriate for the concept of the shot. I like the perspective too. |

North and South Linesby NelzieComment: Great black and white caputre. I love the difference in value of the gravel and the exposure on the rails. I'd like to see it slightly sharper so we can appreciate the textures of the ties. |

32 degrees and risingby BrennanOBComment: Very cool capture. The flames are just wonderful - I like how they form a bit of cup shape jsut like the ice does in the center. The colors are really nice. |

Chalk & Cheeseby dhareComment: The proportions on these items are really odd. That's big chalk, or small cheese and that's what I notice most of all in this photo. I think to highlight the difference between the smoothness of the cheese and the chalk there should be a little bit of dust and maybe a different background - the fabric feels a little off to me.
Excellent macro capture - the texutres and colors are great - the lighting is good. I'd adjust the DOF a little bit to keep the chalk sharp though. Nice work. |

The Two Sides of Mankindby JadeComment: A good capture. I like the lighting and how the contours of the face are scultped by it. I wouldn't mind a closer crop to see more detail at this size. Good muted, moody colors too. |

Black and White Peopleby BKerrComment: This is a wonderful candid capture. I like that everyone is facing the camera and the lighting for the walking people is quite nice. I might like more light on the foreground couple seated, but an excellent urban shot. |

Open and Closedby vtruanComment: Beautiful colors and texture. Your sense of composition is wonderful with the curve of the stem and the twist of the but combined with the large swaths of color from the petals and leaves in the background. |

Othello?by MarkComment: A nice set up and good sense of composition. I'd like to see a bit crisper focus and maybe a little bit truer blacks. |
