7/2 - A Pretty Bouquetby RebeccaComment: Very, Very nice.
This is the kind of shot greeting cards are made from.
Add some mushy Valentine sentiments and Hallmark move over! |

Fly on the Mountainby lynnmarieComment: What do you mean ooops it was set to 400? 400 is fine on the 350D/400D.
The tones & levels here look good, as is the sharpness.
The more I looked at this, the more I saw could be done with it:
 - to ->
(open each in a new window and switch
between them to see the changes easily)
What I did to it was to make a new layer and select the fly and bring some shadow detail out, then history brush everything back that wasn't the fly. Then made a new layer via copy, used the selective color adjustment, yellow, and added 20% yellow, and erased back all teh leaves to make sure I didn't change their subtle tones. Flattened. Then using the color picker tool (eyedropper), I selected a rather bold yellow (hex#faee2e), and using a soft-edged brush in color burn mode at about 6%, painted over the yellows in the flowers, repeating a few times until it looked plausible without over-saturation. Overlay mode would work as well, and would not alter the base pixels. When done, I flattened and went to selective color adjustments and bumped the whites just a touch.

Day Twoby TuckersmomComment: Funny thing is, he didn't even have to ask why.
Classic! ROFL
Besides the color gradient in the stem looking cool, the whole compost composition with the offset works.
No clue why, but it does. |

Floral Day 2aby JeniYComment: Wow - I've shot these before in all stages, from a tight spiral looking like a Unicorn, to full-blown blooms, yet never did quite get mine this clean on the detail. Nice! |
