Boarded Up

Comment:
Interesting artistic interpretation to the challenge with the artwork on the boarded-up window. A bit on the contrasty side and a slightly lower point of view (shooting angle) woud have helped the lower boards be a bit more horizontal. (4)

Though meeting the challenge, the toning & selective desaturation & re-toning don't work for me in this shot. Looks kind of like PS gone mad! (please don't take that personally - not meant to offend and apologize if it comes across that way)
A clean B&W conversion with a little more sharpness woud have helped. Still, meeting the challenge, I gave you a 4.

I wondered if someone was going to do a shot like this and you didn't disappoint me.
Nice thinking outside the box on this one.

Comment:
Not sure this composition works for me.
Foreground is very harsh/bright, not resembling anything to do with flour, and the background creates an second focal point that competes too much. Perhaps if it were in B&W it may be better.

Not sure the toning works in this shot. The main subject is a bit too centered and also blurry/out of focus. Having a ? mark in the title doesn't help in my opinion, but it's only a title and took nothing away because of it.

Comment:
Unique and very different image in this challenge.
Some points clear, some points have motion blur. (Lensbaby?)
There is a certain amount of harness here, perhaps the shadows (flash?) on the stairway kind of throw this one in a conflict visually for me.

Nice tone and detail on the rough lumber on the left, but background is really fighting with the angles between the horizon and the open roofing structure.

Comment:
A lot of potential here. Here are a few things I see wrong that hurt this image.
Detail is low, lacking sharpness. Image is a bit too bright. Attention seems to be drawn more to the trees than the building - perhaps a different point of view would help this more.

Composition is good, but the toning & small image size (500x338) hurt this shot's potential in my opinion.
