Adding a link to Heida's thread: DPC Mentorship - Post Processing II on the workflow for this image.
This should make it a little easier to find now.
Thanks Heida.

These birds are so darned cute and love their name.
This image could have done a lot better in my opinion, had the background not been so harsh and high in contrast, and some detail brought out of the eye.
I played a little with it in Photoshop just out of curiosity and applied a brown toned black & white layer to the image overall, did edit, fade, and watched until I was able to get a slightly toned, but desaturated look to the background, then erased back in the bird and the main branch. I did a strong USM sharpening of the bird and main branch and adjusted the levels in the eye , then added some black to the reds (selective colors adjustments)in the branch.
Feel free to PM me for a URL where I put it (in my workshop folder).

I like the way this scene portrays the musician, deeply involved in what he is doing, in his own world.
Great choice for a black & white edit.

Though lacking a strong focal point, the colors/tones and general composition take over as the focal point. Very nice.

Still never quite got over this one - in a good way of course - brings a smile to my face.
Amazing at how much the thumbnail looks like a caricature drawing like one would get at an amusement park.

Good use of depth of field and having the stone subjects in the background to make the composition strong.

Hummingbirds are nearly impossible to capture in flight, and am in awe over this one being perfect.
Belongs in an encyclopedia or bird book/magazine.

Yes, this lighting is stunning and the composition is first-rate.
A light touch of the manual sharpening tool at about 12-15% over the legs would have popped them right in sharp.
