Airby arngrimurComment: The idea was superb - it's very artsy. But it's just off the mark a bit. The "V" shapes from the bird's body and head are just too crisp-looking. the back end of the has just disappeared. The high key effect is nice. |

Dragonflyby GabrielComment: Not a bird, not a mammal, not a reptire, not meeting the challenge. Photographically, the dragonfly is excellent, but the white "stick" draws too much attention. The dark background is superb |

Dragonflyby jrs915Comment: Not exactly a mammal, or reptile, or anything else mentioned in the challenge description. Nice colorful scene. |

crane at sunsetby fstopopenComment: This image has loads of potential - an excellent scene - very graceful pose of the bird. But I'm afraid your post processing technique to give the water an orange cast is way too obvious: a) With the lighting as shown - the bird's would be more of a sihlouette - not so white. b) You can see the "real" colors through the brances of the shrubs, around the rocks, and around the bird's legs. |

Soft evening light on Loch Arkletby geewhyComment: Beautiful scene taken at the perfect time of day. The muted colors create such a calming effect. I could look at this for some time without tiring of it. |

The Ruinby e301Comment: Looks like a painting - and a well-done one at that. The colors are a bit "unreal" which adds to the effect. Sky is dynamite. Border a bit strong. |

Rachelby dsa157Comment: What captivating eyes and very well captured. I love her expression as well - a true portraint rather than a snapshot. B&W well handled. |

Solitudeby ZoomdakComment: Superb scenic and perfect timing when the moon broke through the clouds. The moon's reflection in the forground is the prefect counter point. All the techie stuff (exposure, composition, DoF) is excellent. You are the proudreceiver of my 3,000th comment - which will win you absolutely nothing! |

Captivatedby sherComment: Cute little model - having fun. Are the colors accurate - them seem a bit washed out? |
