Too Late.by CamComment: Aha - there is a way to say rust without chains, locks, or old farm equipment! An extra point for the innovative approach! The blue/yellows pop - composition works too. MAy be stronger with more in focus. Stop way down, use a tripod and try it again. |

The Weakest Linkby t_onlineComment: Excellent example of rust for certain, placed in a nice diagonal composition. The background is strong - not grabbing attention from he main subject but still having some "things to look at." |

A rusty rustic homeby JeanComment: What a nice find. That green door is precious and helps bring out the rust. Very nice composition as well. I do have 2 suggestions: 1) If possible, the white area on the flat plate above the door could be "folded up" so the bright white were not there. It is the brightest part of the image and attracts the eye. 2) The border is overpowering. Still one of the stronger entries - and I've scored all 447 - now to add comments to about 100 more...... |

rusty riderby surenComment: It's a good looking specimen for rusted - a lot of character. This is one case however where I don't think black and white is the most effective communication tool. Focus seems a bit soft as well. |

Bangby budokanComment: But it wasn't loaded! Great model, expression - must have been a fun shoot (pun intended.) A nice take on this challnge, one of the most original for sure. Keep shooting and entering please. |

Rusty Rainbowby larrylefComment: Things I like: Wonderful colors, nice repeating lines (arcs), diagonal composition, title. Problems: I just want to reach in there and yank out those pine needles! They do nothing for me except get my ire up. The black border is a bit strong. Overall - a very strong entry. |

Rusted door inside a rusted doorby eirasiComment: The door itself is very nice, good find. My suggestions for improvement are: 1) Image is under exposed giving it a flat feel. I think the walls are probably white and not gray as shown. When shooting white subjects be sure to open up a bit. 2) The picture is in the door - so the entire right half of the image is unneeded and should be cropped out. Instead get in tighter on the door, probably in a vertical format show you can get the entire door. |

Rusty Nailby drgsoellComment: Hehe. Nice idea and the only one who thought of it. I'd like to see the bottom of the glass. Black background works nicelt for this. The small white dots at various places on the glass are minor but noticeable. |

High Security by jjbeguinComment: This challenge had SO MANY rusted chains and locks! But the good news is that yours is great. Nice composition, lighting, exposure. |

Just Rustby oskarComment: Very nice colors and lighting. The fact that the tallest and brightest object in the upper right is cut off is distracting as it leads you out of your image. |
