Old Spring House with Rusty Roofby digitaldaveComment: Excellent composition. The green colors really make the building stand out. I've looked at about 25 so far - and this is #1 for now (but with 447 entries....) ADDED 5-5-2004 "I've now rated all the images and this is still way better than most!" |

Got macho?by theodor38Comment: One of only a few images that included human shapes. Composition is very nice - with the smallish blue base. Image is pretty dynamic but I'm thinking the lighting could have heped you more. |

Captivityby maciupiciuComment: It certainly meets the challenge but suffers from a too-shallow DoF and bad lighting. |

Blue Barrowby mom_hoodComment: Your colors are very nice. Lighting was not your freind - with such hot spots on the background behind the main subject. A bit soft in areas where it should be sharp. |

Time and Elementsby HRoxasComment: A very nice presentation. I like the way the backround is gradiated from dark to light / right to left. Your background fully supposts the main subject (colorwise). Focus is a bit soft in some areas - I'd love to be able to see the grayish objects on the rst a bit more clearly. |

Rusty ballsby Kjetil HansenComment: Nice composition and exposure. I wish the one silver ball was not so close to the edge/ |

Decaying Farmby Polar7Comment: The entire image below the sky line is real dynamite. Nice exposure, stong subtle colors - wonderful lines on the barn. Now just figure out a way to make the sky a nice blue - and remove that tower on the upper left while you're at it. Nice submission - I enjoy looking at it. |

Humidity creates rustby olnosComment: This challenge has an overabundance of chain images - but yours has some very nice touches worth pointing out. The composition which leads the user from the bottom left toward the top right is great. Your exposure is near perfect. Colors work exceptionally well together. Finally - water and its reflections near the links add depth. Having said all that - it's missing that one "perfect" grabber that takes for a great submission to a ribbon for sure. |

Rusty Railways Ltdby MAKComment: A nice choice of perspective - lead-in lines from both sides of the bottom. Exposure looks to be right on. The white sky draws attention away from your subject. |

Recycleby cbonsallComment: Clever idea, nice exposure. It may be better if you could have positioned the rust at the bottom so that it did not have the blue elongated triangle below it. |
