Under the tripodby moviemanComment: Nice colors and shapes. Definitely an unusual viewpoint. Make it better by: a) More area in focus, b) Way less compression in post shoot processing - use more of the 150k limit (this is just 46k) to prevent the "banding" as the color changes. |

Pondscapeby Links 2 3 4Comment: Definitely an unusual viewpoint. Nice backlighting, good colors. Frog a bit mysterious but that's ok. Composition violates a rule or two, but it works very well - one time to toss out the rules. |

From Above and Belowby mocabelaComment: Ususual viewpoint - yes. Interesting - yes. Make it better by: a) Not centering the main subject b) Remove that bright and distracting white area on the left edge. |

Any Mail Today?by SammieComment: Excellent viewpoint! Too bad the mail is bills! Great exposure - nice lighting on the face yet some detail on the inside of the "mailbox." DoF handled perfectly. My only complaint is that white sky - but that is offset a bit by the white in the envelopes. Still an excellent and very ORIGINAL submission. |

Sunrise At Ponce Inletby GallatinComment: Excellent lighting on an exceptional scene - perfect time of day. As far as an "unusual viewpoint" - don't think so. |

Hideby nbortonComment: Nice choice of viewpont - composition is the strong part of this image. Colors ok - but could be a bit more vibrant. Lots of compression or other noise, especially in the yellow and orange. Still a submission that should do well. |

From Behind the Fallsby alanfreedComment: Gee - doesn't everyone get behind a waterfall every day? DEFINITELY an unusual viewpoint - nice find. Your use of a tripod (I assume) and perhaps an ND filter to slow the shutter and capture the velvet look to the water is great. Sky a teeny bit hot - and the halo around the top of the waterfall looks a bit unnatural. Overall an excellent submission. |
